Man, I really dropped the ball with this blog thing. Whoops. Let me try again.
There is only one week left of class in Syracuse. The Master's degree is imminent. Scary. This past year has flown by faster than I care to admit. There are days like this when I sit watching the Simpsons at 3 in the morning to delay the coming morning. And then there are the days where a few too many drinks have erased a couple hours from my memory. I prefer a happy medium between the two. Moving my stuff across the country is going to be arduous. As anyone who has done it will tell you, the midwest isn't exactly a thrilling drive. The flat monotonous terrain is enough to drive you insane, but combine that with a healthy dose of cabin fever from being in a car for far too long and you've got a recipe for disaster.
Once I return I get a chance to settle and move along to my internship at The Young and the Restless. Most people never consider a soap opera as a viable option for a job. But hell, they spend every day of the week cranking out material, and a lot of people work damn hard to get those images on the screen.
I'm excited, plain and simple. I'm about to move out into the real world (after delaying it mind you) with a degree in hand. Hopefully that piece of paper will help me out a little. We'll see.
